Christian Ekvall is a Swedish translator, writer and musician, born and raised on Öland. In 1997, he moved to Uppsala and then later to Lund to study Music and Creative Writing, taking a wide variety of subjects including English, Spanish, psychology and publishing. He completed his degrees in 2005, and has since worked as a professional translator of primarily Anglo-Saxon fiction. In his own writing, he takes inspiration from the 60’s and 70’s postmodern literature of Richard Brautigan, John Barth and Gilbert Sorrentino. A founding member of Octopus Ride and Driften, he currently resides in Malmö.
